Foxwood Engraving produced 200 custom cedar-lined presentation boxes for Park Hyatt New York, coordinating the artwork, personalization and production from our studio in Renton, Washington.
The Project
Park Hyatt New York needed a substantial quantity of presentation boxes with a polished, consistent appearance.
Every element—from the placement of the artwork to the appearance of the finished boxes—needed to reflect the level of quality associated with the Park Hyatt brand.
For a project of this scale, consistency matters as much as the individual design. Each piece must feel intentionally created while remaining visually cohesive across the entire order.
A Gift with Presence
The cedar-lined boxes offered a substantial presentation and a memorable opening experience. The natural warmth of the wood complemented the refined exterior and elevated the gift beyond standard branded merchandise.
Rather than treating the box as simple packaging, the finished piece became part of the gift itself—something designed to be kept and used after its initial presentation.
Preparing the Artwork
Before production began, the supplied artwork was reviewed and prepared for the engraving process.
Placement, scale and contrast were evaluated against the surface of the box to ensure the branding remained clear and appropriately proportioned. A consistent layout was then established for the complete production run.
This preparation is especially important when natural materials are involved. Variations in wood grain and tone give every piece individual character, while careful positioning maintains a cohesive overall presentation.
Coordinated Production
Producing 200 custom pieces requires an organized workflow.
The boxes were prepared, aligned and personalized in coordinated batches. Each piece was reviewed throughout production to maintain consistent placement and finish across the order.
After personalization, the completed boxes were inspected and prepared for shipment to New York.
The Result
The finished collection combined recognizable branding with the warmth and permanence of a well-made wooden presentation piece.
